Hola amigas! This forum was created with the purpose of promoting the work of rising and starting female creators, entrepreneurs, writers, influencers and artists. And to create a space where women can come together to empower and support one another.

In this new world of social media there is the possibility of showcasing our work to any corner of the world, taking our brand/business to a whole new level. There are many ways to promote our work in ways that will successfully expand our reach or get us potential customers. However, as a starting blogger myself, I can say that it is way easier said than done.

While looking for ways to promote my blog, The Sprouting Sunflower, I came across a couple of barriers. Instagram for example, has opened doors for regular people to use their talents to become successful influencers and entrepreneurs. Who are now their own bosses and who are now making great money doing what they love. On the other hand, the problem with Instagram’s newest algorithm is that it benefits already well-established or well-known influencers/brands and makes it harder for new creators to grow their audience and actually showcase their work.

If you’re not familiar with the new algorithm, pretty much what it does is that instead of showing you the content of the people that you follow in chronological order, what actually shows up on your feed is the content of people/brands that you frequent the most and who have a larger following. Which means that if you’re a starting creator then your posts might not even be showing on all of your followers’ feeds, unless they are constantly liking your posts. Also, another barrier that I’ve encounter is that most social media accounts that feature other creators’ work also promote mostly people who already have large followings.

That is the reason why I decided to create F.empower Network. To level the playing field by creating a platform were rising and starting female creators/entrepreneurs can shine by promoting their work and their life’s story. Also, to create a space were a new generation of female creators can come together to connect, empower and support one another.
