Hola amigas! This forum was created with the purpose of promoting the work of rising and starting female creators, entrepreneurs, writers, influencers and artists. And to create a space where women can come together to empower and support one another. In this new world of social media there is the possibility of showcasing our work to any corner of the world, taking our brand/business to a whole new level. There are many ways to promote our work in ways that will successfully expand our reach or get us potential customers. However, as a starting blogger myself, I can say that it is way easier said than done. While looking for ways to promote my blog, The Sprouting Sunflower, I came across a couple of barriers. Instagram for example, has opened doors for regular people to use their talents to become successful influencers and entrepreneurs. Who are now their own bosses and who are now making great money doing what they love. On the other hand, the problem with Instagram’s newest algorithm is that it benefits already well-established or well-known influencers/brands and makes it harder for new creators to grow their audience and actually showcase their work. If you’re not familiar with the new algorithm, pretty much what it does is that instead of showing you the content of the people that you follow in chronological order, what actually shows up on your feed is the content of people/brands that you frequent the most and who have a larger following. Which means that if you’re a starting creator then your posts might not even be showing on all of your followers’ feeds, unless they are constantly liking your posts. Also, another barrier that I’ve encounter is that most social media accounts that feature other creators’ work also promote mostly people who already have large followings. That is the reason why I decided to create F.empower Network. To level the playing field by creating a platform were rising and starting female creators/entrepreneurs can shine by promoting their work and their life’s story. Also, to create a space were a new generation of female creators can come together to connect, empower and support one another. Hello Everybody! I started my blog "The Sprouting Sunflower" a few months ago through Wix. So far I have had a geat experience with creating my website and expanding my brand. I've been thinking of ways in which I can start contributing to my long-term goals and so I started to look into options on how to monetize my blog. That’s how I came across Viglink. If you're not familiar with Viglink pretty much it is an affiliate marketing company that identifies commercial products mentioned within your blog's content and it automatically turns them into money generating hyperlinks. Once I was ready to install Viglink I had a really hard time installing the Viglink code into my Wix site and apparently I wasn’t the only one because I couldn’t find a successful answer on any forum on the web. However, after hours of digging I managed to successfully install Viglink on my Wix Website. While I'm currently not using any affiliated links from Viglink on my blog's content I do plan on using it on the future. Especially because Amazon and Ebay are some of the brands affiliated with Viglink and a lot products that I enjoy and reccomend come from those websites. Once you have created your account with Viglink all you need to do to install Viglink on your Wix site is to copy and paste your individual Viglink code and insert it at the very end of your site’s pages. This can be done through Tracking Tool & Analytics on your Wix Account. In case you’re wondering how to access this feauture I have added a step-by-step tutorial on how to access Tracking Tools & Analytics on your Wix site. Without further ado lets get started! Step 1: Log into your Viglink account and select “Install” from the menu options. You will see a list of four steps that you need to complete to install Viglink. Complete steps 1 & 2 from the list . Step 2: Paste the Viglink code to your site’s pages through Tracking Tools and Analytics which is located in your site’s Dashboard. You can access your site’s Dashboard directly to this link here Step 3: Once you have accessed your dashboard scroll down and select Manage Website from the options. Step 4: From the list scroll down to select Tracking Tools & Analytics and paste the Viglink code under “Body-End”. Make sure that you select the option "all pages" for the code to be applied on all of you site's pages. Step 5: Check the success of your installation by completing the last step of you installation process on your Viglink account. Once your website is confirmed you’re all set!
