Maryland Adventures: City of Annapolis

Hello again! Hope everybody's weekend has been going well!

If you follow me on my Instagram account you might have seen that I was in Maryland last week for memorial weekend visiting some good friends. It almost seems like it was yesterday that I was chilling in Maryland with my friends drinking some DC coffee, eating fresh Salvadorian pupusas, devouring a Dutch apple pie and watching the final of the champions league (yes I get excited over soccer and also very loud haha) making it a truly diverse experience.

During my stay in Maryland I had the chance to visit the city of Annapolis for the first time. I have to admit that up to then I had not heard of Annapolis at all but my friends assured me that I was going to love it and they could not have been more right. Turns out that Annapolis is a very special place. Not only is it the capital of Maryland it is also considered a historic district with its 18th-century brick houses serving as our nation's first peacetime capital. Upon later research I found out that people who signed the Declaration of Independence had homes there once and that there are more 18th-century brick homes in Annapolis than in any other city of the nation making a true vintage location.

I also had the chance to collaborate for the first time with the amazingly talented Daniel Teodoro (check out his Instagram account @dan.teo9 for more positive vibes). We had a great time shooting pictures and posing around Annapolis. All the color around us plus the vintage vibes was more than enough to get our creative juices flowing and our cameras ready. We hope you enjoy the splash of color and some well-deserved color therapy ♡.

The theme for our shoot is FRIENDSHIP. This is actually a topic that is very close to our heart given that the friendship that my husband, Daniel, Suzy and I have built over the years has been highly rewarding and has pushed me to grow in many areas of my life. We have a lot of things in common but the biggest ones being our love for God, our creativity and the fact that we all come from different countries (guess who is from which country: The Netherlands, Mexico, El Salvador and Brazil). I can honestly say that every time that we manage to come together I always leave more empowered than before and with a fresh perspective. I believe this is exactly how good friendships should be; good friends should make you feel empowered and supported. Good friends are also not perfect but they are honest and can admit when they have made a mistake. It is so important that we surround ourselves with people who support us and encourage us to pursue our goals. So this post is dedicated to all the good friends out there, we appreciate you!!

Hope you enjoyed our pics! Please drop a comment below with any positive thoughts. Let me know if you have visited Annapolis before and also your favorite place in Maryland! Have a great day my amigos, until next time!
